Overview
Soulprint provides cosmic blueprint readings that combine multiple astrological and metaphysical systems. We respect your privacy and are committed to transparency about how your data is handled when you use our services, including the main Soulprint chart, Qi Men Dun Jia Divination, and the Personal Qi Men Natal Reading.
The short version: Your birth data and generated readings are processed in real time and are not permanently stored on our servers. We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties.
Information We Collect
Birth Data You Provide
When you generate a chart, you may provide:
- Name (optional)
- Date of birth
- Time of birth (optional)
- Place of birth (optional)
This information is sent to our server solely to perform the requested calculations and generate your reading.
Divination Questions
For Qi Men Dun Jia Divination readings, you may submit a question. This text is used only to generate your personalised interpretation and is not stored after the reading is delivered.
Location Data
Birth place entries are geocoded using the OpenStreetMap Nominatim service to determine latitude and longitude for accurate astrological calculations. We send only the place name you enter; no other personal data is transmitted to this third-party service.
How Your Charts Are Generated
Chart calculations (planetary positions, BaZi pillars, Zi Wei Dou Shu palaces, etc.) are performed on our server using established astronomical and calendrical libraries. The interpretive readings are then generated using Anthropic's Claude AI model.
What is sent to Claude
Your birth data and calculated chart positions are sent to Anthropic's API to generate personalised interpretations. This data is processed according to Anthropic's usage policies. Anthropic does not use API inputs to train their models.
Anthropic's API data retention: Inputs and outputs sent through the API are not used for model training. Anthropic may retain API logs for a limited period for safety and abuse prevention purposes, in accordance with their data retention policy.
Data Storage & Retention
Server-Side
- No database storage: We do not store your birth data, questions, or generated readings in any database.
- In-memory only: Your data exists in server memory only for the duration of the request. Once your reading is delivered to your browser, the data is no longer held on our server.
- Geocoding cache: Place name to coordinate mappings may be cached in server memory to reduce redundant lookups. This cache contains only geographic coordinates (e.g., "London" to 51.5, -0.1) and no personal information. It is cleared when the server restarts.
- Server logs: Standard server logs may temporarily record request metadata (timestamps, IP addresses) but do not log your birth data or reading content.
Client-Side (Your Browser)
- Your reading is in your browser: The generated chart and interpretations exist only in your browser session. If you close or refresh the page, the reading is gone.
- Print/export: If you use the print or export feature, the output is generated locally in your browser. We do not receive or store a copy.
- No cookies for tracking: We do not use tracking cookies. No personal data is stored in your browser by Soulprint.
Who Can Read Your Chart
- Only you. Your generated reading is delivered directly to your browser. No one else, including us, can see or access your completed reading.
- We have no admin dashboard, user accounts, or stored readings that could be browsed by staff.
- If you choose to print, screenshot, or share your reading, that is your decision and responsibility.

Soulprint relies on the following third-party services:
Paid Services
For paid readings (such as the Personal Qi Men Natal Reading), payment processing is handled by Stripe. We do not see, handle, or store your credit card details. Stripe processes your payment directly and is PCI DSS compliant. See Stripe's Privacy Policy.
Children's Privacy
Soulprint is not directed at individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
